The RDS Dublin Horse Show provided an exhilarating stage for the opening leg of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup, Europe League, on Wednesday. In the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ – Grand Prix of Ireland, Irish hero Bertram Allen and his impressive stallion “Pacino” thrilled the crowd with a stunning clear round. Allen's victory in front of his home fans was a sight to behold, reflecting Ireland's dominance in the world of showjumping.

The competition, however, was far from a one-horse show. Dutchman Eric Lamaze, fresh from winning the prestigious Hickstead Derby just a few weeks earlier, placed second with the brilliant mare "First Class". Meanwhile, Olympic champion Eric Angot from France rounded out the top three with his stallion “Chinchilla”.

The event wasn’t only about individual triumphs. Ireland's showjumpers continued to impress, filling several top spots in the CSI5*-W classes, highlighting the burgeoning talent emerging from this passionate nation.
