This week sees the culmination of a historical sporting event - the FEI World Equestrian Games in Stockholm, Sweden. After a week of intense competition across seven equestrian disciplines, the medals are finally being awarded.

The showjumping team gold was won by the Netherlands after a tense jump-off, beating the USA into silver and Germany claiming bronze. In the individual jumping, Beat Mändli from Switzerland secured a momentous win for his country, while the French rider Eric Lamaze won individual silver and the Dutch rider Albert Voorn claimed bronze.
