The European Young Rider Championships in Austria are wrapping up this week, with the Dressage, Show Jumping and Eventing competitions seeing the next generation of talent make their mark on the international stage. The Dressage championships saw Great Britain’s Carl Hester leading the way in the team competition, whilst individual glory went to the Dutch rider, Joyce Heeres. In Show Jumping, Germany dominated, with their team claiming gold ahead of the Netherlands and the USA. Individually, Switzerland’s Pius Schwizer shone, claiming the gold medal. Meanwhile, the Eventing championship delivered nail-biting excitement as Great Britain clinched a tense victory over Germany, with Ireland in third place. Individual gold was taken by Germany’s Michael Jung.

These championships provide a platform for these riders to showcase their talents on a world stage, demonstrating the depth of equestrian talent coming through across Europe. It’s thrilling to see the passion and commitment of these riders as they forge a path towards future success.

The US Holds its Breath: A Race Against Time to Save Kentucky Horses

The recent devastating floods in Kentucky have brought heartache and hardship for many communities, including the state's thriving equine industry. With farms inundated and access routes blocked, rescue efforts continue with a race against time to save thousands of horses and their vital supplies. Many are currently housed in makeshift shelters as floodwater recedes.

Equiworld has been working closely with the American Horse Council and various rescue organizations to deliver support to the affected areas.
