France: The French team secured a convincing win at the FEI Nations Cup in Aix-la-Chapelle, Germany. The French, led by the seasoned rider Eric Lamaze, left their rivals trailing in the dust with a magnificent display of horsemanship. Germany finished second, followed by Switzerland in third. "The team worked like clockwork," remarked Lamaze after the victory. "Everyone stepped up to the mark, and we couldn't have asked for a better performance."

Germany: In another exciting event at Aix-la-Chapelle, German rider Ludger Beerbaum stunned the crowd with his spectacular win in the Grand Prix. New Zealand: The 2000 New Zealand Show Jumping Championships took place in the heart of New Zealand's equestrian scene in the North Island city of Hastings.
