Amongst the distinguished recipients is none other than Mr. Michael Whitaker who receives an OBE for his exceptional contribution to the equestrian sport. Whitaker, who achieved unprecedented success with his iconic showjumping horse, "Millfield", is a name synonymous with brilliance in the world of show jumping. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Whitaker and his entire team on this well-deserved recognition.
The list also features Ms. Tina Cook, one of the country's leading event riders. Cook, who earned her place in equestrian history through multiple prestigious victories at both national and international level, was awarded an MBE for her exceptional contribution to eventing. The team competition in Dressage saw impressive performances by the Dutch team, ultimately claiming a coveted gold medal, with Anky van Grunsven leading the pack on her renowned stallion "Bonfire".
