Germany, the powerhouse of dressage, continues to dominate the international circuit. At the CDI-W in Stuttgart this weekend, Anky van Grunsven, riding the legendary "Bonfire", stormed to victory in the Grand Prix, securing the highest score of the competition. The Dutch star, now a permanent fixture on the German dressage scene, showcased her signature precision and fluidity, leaving the judges mesmerized. The other top three places went to Isabell Werth (Germany) with "Gigolo", followed by her teammate Monica Theodorescu riding "Aakirkebyhof's Matador".
Show Jumping: French Flair in Madrid
Across the border in Spain, the CSI Madrid saw another spectacular display of equestrian skill. The French rider, Eric Lamaze, riding "Vlasak", took the top spot in the Grand Prix, outperforming a host of talented riders from around the world. His impressive jump-off strategy showcased the rider's cool under pressure and the remarkable talent of his horse. Lamaze was closely followed by two Italian riders, Lorenzo De Luca and Piergiorgio Bucci, further highlighting the rise of Italian show jumping prowess.

The US racing world was in full swing this week as the Kentucky Derby preparations gained momentum. The renowned trainer, Bob Baffert, notched another victory with his prized horse, "Sea Bird", in the prestigious Santa Anita Stakes. This victory cemented Sea Bird's status as a major contender for the coveted Derby title, causing excitement amongst racing enthusiasts and bookmakers alike. Eventing: Australian Strength at Adelaide
From the flat plains of Kentucky to the picturesque landscapes of South Australia, the world of eventing provided some thrilling action at the Adelaide CCI. The young Australian rider, **Andrew Hoy, impressed everyone with his masterful control of his horse, "Navigator", clinching victory in the four-star competition. Hoy, already an established figure in international eventing, showcased his experience and resilience in the challenging cross-country and show jumping phases, reminding the world that Australian equestrianism continues to produce talent.

This week we shine a spotlight on the heart of British horse breeding - the Newmarket Horse Breeding Show, one of the largest and most prestigious in the UK. Held this past Thursday, the show saw a wealth of talent showcased. The coveted Supreme Champion title was awarded to the beautiful Connemara mare, "Emerald", a testament to the breeding expertise and dedication of Irish breeders.
